Rob Roy Hall - Devines Photography Museum
The museum of photography takes you back to the 1800's and the time when George P Devine opened his first studio in 1904. George travelled the Inverell District extensively by horse and sulky photographing important events. In 1934 his son George A Devine joined his father in the studio
The museum holds examples of the many events and places photographed by Devines Studios. Much of their photography is stored under archival conditions in Inverell as well as Canberra.
The equipment displayed has been accumulated over 100 years by Devines and illustrates many advances over many years.
Photographs in this museum are under copyright, no individual photographs are to be taken.
